Many congratulations to Kate Boling. We look forward to hearing from her in the future

BREANNA L. MILLER WINS
CGAS SCIENCE PROJECT AWARD

Breanna L. Miller is an 8th grader at Needwood Middle School. Her science project: ’HOW DOES HEIGHT EFFECT THE ATTRACTION OF BIRDS TO A FEEDER’.  Answer; the birds preferred the 6 foot high feeder, compared to ground level and 2 foot high feeders.  Many congratulations to Breanna who won $25 from CGAS. It is a pleasure to acknowledge students motivated to investigate nature.

 HELP!  CONSERVATION VOLUNTEER NEEDED

Currently, our local Audubon group DOES NOT have a representative for conservation. Our current staff is overworked (as is evident in this newsletter) and thus unable to spend time in this critical area. Someone is needed to write some letters and attend some meetings. Previous experience in this area is not needed, but is of course helpful. The position can be expanded as much or as little as the volunteer(s) would like. Please contact: John Galvani @ 638-3986.
